I was able to spend a little time on the water and it proved to be a challenging time indeed. The flows on this section of the South Platte were almost 400 cfs. That's the highest flows I've seen in the 7 years of fishing this area. Nympng was the call of the day. With bright sunny skies and consistent wind any hatch was doomed. It seemed that the 9-11am was the prime time for these difficult conditions. And on Sunday I enterd the fly fishing "zone" when it seemed every drift produced a fish.
Camp.....
Fish......
Eat....
and Relax.
til next time.....
